The following are terms and conditions while on the premises of
Matoaka Beach Cabins for the family, friends, and relatives of
Check-in time Sunday 3 P.M.-Check-out time Sunday 11 A.M.
For each extra person overnight above the limit for your
cabin (count all infants and children) there will be an extra charge
of $25.00 each night.We
do not furnish extra beds above the limit.Daily visitors above the limit for you cabin will pay $6.00 a
day (children under 12 years - $3.00 a day).
When persons above the limit for your cabin arrive for the
day they must be introduced to management within one hour and pay
for their stay in advance.
Persons
more than the limit for your cabin sleeping outside your cabin and
using cabin facilities will be considered at the rate on $25.00 a
night.
Persons paying camping rates must be totally self-contained
with absolutely no dependence or use of cabin facilities.
Row
boats may be rented for $20.00 a day or $75.00 a week.We do not rent for less than one day.A deposit of $5.00 per oar is required and oars will be given
only to responsible adults paying the deposit, who in turn will be
liable for all operations and safety of the boat and occupants.Children must be accompanied by an adult while in the boat.Coast Guard regulations state that every person aboard must
have a life jacket.You
may supply your own life jackets or rent them from management for
$1.00 a day or $5.00 a week.A
$5.00 deposit for each life jacket is required.
Swim at your own risk.No lifeguard on duty.
The stone and/or cement jetties (groins) are dangerous to
walk on.Danger – keep
off the jetties.
Please clean your fish under the spigots.
Please leave your cooler outside on the ground (too much
condensation and moisture on the wooden floors will cause rot).
Autos may drive up to their cabin only twice, once on
arrival and once again on departure to load up.All other times please park on the edge of the road, and walk
across the lawn, as too much auto traffic on the grass will kill our
lawn.
There is a 10 MPH auto speed limit on our dirt lane.
Do not take cabin equipment to the beach.
Pets
are not permitted at Matoaka.
Quiet after 11:00 P.M.
Digging in and climbing on the cliffs is absolutely
forbidden.Stay away
from base of cliff because of landslides.
Please
do not take firewood we have stacked around here.
After date of rental has been established and deposit
accepted, the date of rental cannot be changed or canceled.
No refund of your deposit or rental money will be made at
any time.
In
the event a tropical hurricane or tornado warning is announced by
NOAA for the Chesapeake Bay area and residents are asked by
management to evacuate, there will be no refund of money or exchange
of expiration dates.
At the end of your stay please leave your cabin as clean as
you found it.
The management reserves the absolute right to refuse
accommodations to any person whatsoever, and at any time in
accordance with existing law.
We agree to abide by the rules and regulations
of Matoaka Cabins as outlined herein and as posted on the premises and
hereby expressly release the management from any liability for injury to
person or property resulting from our use and occupancy of the
facilities provided by the management.I also agree to assume responsibility and liability for property
damage and/or injury to visiting friends and/or relatives and those who
are sharing the cabin with me resulting from the use of the facilities
provided by the management.
